Credit Transfer/Waiver
- Freshmen who Qualify for Article 2 of the NUTU “Credit Transfer and Waiver Policy”: Apply for credit transfer/waiver within 2 weeks after the first or second semester of the first academic year begins (except for graduate students and foreign students) directly with the preliminary review units. Credit transfer/waiver may be applied for up to two times.
- Transfer Students or Other Students who are Qualified for Credit Transfer/Waiver: Download and fill out the Credit Transfer/Waiver Application Form, and submit to each responsible unit for preliminary review according to the subject during the transfer/waiver period.
- Credit Transfer/Waiver by License/Competition: Pursuant to Article 8 of the NTUT “Credit Transfer and Waiver Policy,” the standards of determining and recognizing important licenses, and awards of national or international skill competitions are defined by each department/institution or center; apply directly according to the “Conversion Table of Credit Transfer/Waiver by License/Skill Competition.” Please see the “Conversion Table of Credit Transfer/Waiver by License/Skill Competition” announced by each department/institution or center.
- Credit Transfer/Waiver by Repeated/Make-up Course: Pursuant to Article 15 of the NTUT “Credit Transfer and Waiver Policy,” if the mandatory course is cancelled, changes its name or credits, the preliminary review unit of credit transfer/waiver may offer a similar alternative subject to transfer students by school or major, students during the course replacement process or repeating/making up for that course. However, the total credits required for graduation remain the same according to the NTUT Academic Rules and cannot be reduced.
